A landmark edition with Lahaye Media on the WIP NOA jury
The 21st edition brought together the best of Argentine and Latin American cinema and cemented the WIP NOA Competition as a key space for regional post-production
A week of federal and Latin American cinema
The XXI Tucumán Cine “Gerardo Vallejo” Film Festival held its 2026 edition from July 28 to August 2 in the Province of Tucumán, reaffirming its place as one of the most important spaces for exhibition, exchange and development of Argentine, Latin American and Caribbean cinema. The programme included the Argentine, Latin American, Short Film and Music Video competitions, alongside special screenings dedicated to productions from the NOA region, premieres, and events celebrating the cultural diversity and identities of the area. Training and professional exchange activities were also part of the lineup: workshops, panels and working sessions aimed at students and industry professionals.
The festival closed with an emotional awards ceremony at the Teatro San Martín, organized by the Ente Cultural de Tucumán. The gala brought together government officials — including Education Minister Susana Montaldo, Ente Cultural president Sandra Maldonado, and Audiovisual Media Director Adriana Chaya — alongside filmmakers, jury members, artists and the general public.
Lahaye Media on the WIP NOA jury
One of the standout features of this edition was the consolidation of the WIP NOA Competition as a strategic space for Latin American cinema in the post-production stage. The competition is designed to support and develop audiovisual projects from the NOA region that are in the process of production or post-production, providing assistance for the completion of feature films.
Lahaye Media played an active role in this competition: Gabriel Lahaye served on the WIP NOA Competition jury (best sound), alongside Gustavo Pomernec, Adrián Rodríguez and Lucía Tebaldi. Beyond its jury role, Lahaye Media presented the award to the winning project in the category, contributing services in image post-production, color correction and DCP mastering to support the completion of the awarded work. This kind of recognition reflects Lahaye Media‘s commitment to strengthening regional audiovisual production and supporting film and series production across northwest Argentina.
